да, получать, иметь. Но употребляется, как и у нас, в широком смысле, в том числе в смысле использовать, "поиметь" (и совершить половой акт, и обмануть).Have a buzz on, have a load on — эти и масса других словосочетаний с have переводятся как "пьяный" (поддатый, хвативший, набравшийся и т. п.).

Мы не зря поместили это народное выражение в конец столь утомительного словарного гнезда.
